Humanity still lives within modernity. However, we do not believe that modernity is working well. Constant ethnic strife, unstoppable environmental destruction, and the widening gap between rich and poor are all caused by the rationality demanded by modernity. What are the underlying causes? We believe it is because we are a male-dominated society. We discuss men and women as a theory of characteristics, not gender.

 　Men have been in charge in most of the world. This is because men were better at thinking logically and could rationally hold a country or a group of countries. However, many of them have used their logic for their own egos. As a result, during the Middle Ages, warfare never stopped, and nature was cultivated solely for the sake of man. With the worldwide destruction caused by the Industrial Revolution, humanity realised for the first time that it could not survive if it lived only for the ego of an individual or a country. This is the beginning of modernity. However, instead of solving the problem by embracing feminine reason, modernity tried to solve it very masculinely by building rules and social systems to deter egos. As we can see from the current society, capitalism and democracy only legitimise the ego, which is why mass consumption and human rights violations continue.
 　Reflecting on the above, we can say that the Anthropocene was the male age, in which the violence of the masculine intellect suppressed feminine reason. We want to create a female age in which reason controls the intellect.

 　We have created the female version of the School of Athens painting. Raphael depicts the great men of antiquity, primarily philosophers. Philosophy is the very fruit of the masculine intellect. A comparable work should be painted with a group of great women.

 　Who are the women of the female age? I think they are by no means the feminist women that are being advocated today. They have indeed broken away from the pre-modern misogynistic image of women, but they are active because they behave in a masculine way and are masculine in their nature.  　Therefore, we have defined the following three ideal images of women for a woman's new society.

 　1. Sociality: a woman who is a leader in society
 　2. Femininity: a woman who pursues beauty for her own sake, which is also attractive to men
 　3. Ethicality: A motherly woman, i.e. does not live only for her ego.

 　If one such woman had been the leader of any country during a war, the result would have been more peaceful. This is because women do not think of killing people indiscriminately. Also, motherhood is not necessarily directed only towards children. Having children is not always absolutely good for the planet. The time may come when plants can be raised as children.
 　A woman's new age society is feasible by bringing together women who combine the three conditions that existed so robustly in the Manocene society and transcend time and place. As with the Athenian Gakudo, 23 symbolic people have been selected.

 　The photograph in the background of the collage was taken on 24 June 2023 at Senjogahara in Nikko. On the same day, the G7-Nikko Gender Equality Conference was held, but among the participating countries, only Japan was represented by a man. In addition, the decisions taken there could not have been specific. This means that society's structure needs to be changed, and women need to take the lead. The backdrop to Senjogahara is the arch-shaped Mt Nantai, which echoes the painting of the School of Athens.

 　Our aim for a new society of women is not one in which men are oppressed. Instead, it is a society in which men are freed from the dilemma of intellect and can play an active role without harming the earth or humanity.

 　Of course, many people, both men and women, are satisfied with the current society. However, if society continues as it has up to now, wars will continue, the burden on the planet will become even more significant, and eventually, humans will no longer be able to live on the earth. In other words, this artwork is not only for men but also for women who are satisfied with a male-dominated society.
