When the wind blows gallantly, beyond a mere natural phenomenon, humans sense the atmosphere and climate of a place. Each land has its wind. To express this, I tried to design a spatial piece Nekoji using only materials from the same region. Strangely enough, this was only possible here in Wakayama, Japan.
 　The Japanese paper, crafted from Yasuda-gami, a Kishu handmade paper that once flourished as a material for Japanese umbrellas, is a testament to the natural beauty of Wakayama. The metal frame, with its finish reminiscent of field-forged blades, adds a touch of rustic elegance. In addition, Wakayama is famous for naturally occurring black bamboo, the most abundant in the country. The mortar, made from blast-furnace cement, also produced in Wakayama Prefecture, is a nod to the region's industrial heritage.
 　These materials were born in the same place but are usually brought separately. By bringing them together, we can feel the power of the land that transcends human knowledge.
